Meet Your Host & Travel Guide
Erin Elise Kiu, Author & Founder of Fun & Holy
When I was single, I wanted to travel but felt like I had nobody to travel with. My friends either didn’t want to travel to the same places I did, or they didn’t want to spend time with God on vacation.
At Fun & Holy, I’m passionate about encouraging single ladies not to give up on the plans (and future husband) that God has for them. But I’m also passionate about helping single women enjoy the fun & holy lives they were created to live.
When it comes to travel, you don’t have to wait until you get married to explore the world. You can travel with like-minded women now while making the most out of being single.
Introducing: Fun & Holy Retreats.
Fun & Holy Retreats give you permission to travel and explore the world now, while making new friendships and memories with other women of faith.
I embarked on several solo-trips when I was single, and I’ve been to the island of Maui in Hawaii three times. Maui has had a special place in my heart since you can explore both the ocean and lush waterfalls in tropical paradise.
And since you’ll be traveling with other women of faith, each retreat will allow you to connect with God and each other. Throughout the retreat, I will guide you through group prayer and workshop discussions to help you connect with God and reflect on your vacation.
If you want to reconnect with God and make memories with other women of faith, this is the retreat for you, my friend.
I can’t wait to explore the island of Maui with you 🌺
With Love,
Erin Elise Kiu
Maui Retreat Cost & Room Options
Fun & Holy Travel Retreats are planned for you, so you don’t have to spend hours planning & booking your trip.
Instead of wondering where to stay, how to get around the island, and how to book your own excursions, all of this is taken care of for you.
Different room options are available below for you to book on the retreat, including ocean-view rooms with private balconies :)
The retreat includes the cost of lodging in a private oceanfront home with a pool, two excursions to explore Maui, transportation to and from the airport, transportation during the retreat, and several meals.
If you planned your own trip, you would have to pay and book all these items on your own.
Below is an example of what you can expect to pay if you booked your own trip to Maui with a friend.
$1,250 - Hotel (Assumes $500 per night, shared with a friend)
$125 - Hotel Fees (Assumes extra fees for resort fees & self-parking)
$500 - Rental car + gas (Assumes a $1000 car rental, shared with a friend)
$480 - Meals each day (Assumes $80 per day)
$170 - Snorkeling catamaran excursion
$220 - Road to Hana tour
$2,745 - TOTAL ESTIMATED COST IF YOU BOOKED YOUR OWN TRIP
Even if you shared the cost of a hotel with a friend, you could expect to pay around $2,745 per person for your trip to Hawaii if you stayed in a resort near the ocean.
But since you’ll be joining a group of ladies on the retreat and staying in a private house on the ocean, you will get to experience Hawaii for much less.
(And you'll get to enjoy the perks of staying in a private home, no need to fight for space at the pool or by the ocean)

Will this retreat be worth it? It seems like a lot to travel...
Okay, now that you’ve seen the cost to attend the retreat, I know what you may be thinking.
“Yikes, I want to travel, but that’s a little bit more (or a LOT more) than I was hoping to spend.”
Is it really worth it?
I am all for a good travel deal, and I understand wanting your hard-earned money to go as far as possible when exploring the world.
But I’ve done the math, and if you want stay on the ocean in a tropical paradise like Maui, the price of the Fun & Holy Retreat is well worth it.
If you decided to plan and book your own trip to Maui, and let's say you share the hotel cost with a friend, you could expect to pay about $2,745 per person.
While you may be able to find resorts or Airbnb’s that charge less than $500 a night, if you want to enjoy staying somewhere on the ocean with all the amenities it’s going to cost $500-$100 a night.
If you did book your own trip, you would still have to plan and budget for other costs like your rental car, gas, resort fees, parking, the cost of all the fun excursions you want to do, and food for each day.
Did you know that for a decent rental car, gas, and insurance, you can expect to pay $1000 for a weekly car rental?
Since Maui has so much to explore on the island, you're going to want a rental car to take it all in.
Sightseeing and exploring includes excursions, and the price for some of the most popular excursions add up quick.
The catamaran snorkel cruise costs around $170 per person, and if you wanted to book a Road to Hana tour, it would cost you $220+.
And if you’re on vacation, you’re going to want to try the local eats.
With everything to eat on the island, you can expect to pay about $80-$100 on food per day (and even more for alcohol).
After factoring in all the costs you would pay if you booked your own trip to Maui, you can see that you're actually paying LESS on the Fun & Holy Retreat compared to if you booked the trip yourself.
If I could book my own trip to Hawaii, why should I go on this retreat?
You totally could plan and book your own trip to Maui.
But you’re forgetting that the Fun & Holy Retreats is already planned and booked for you.
All you have to plan and arrange is your airfare to the OGG airport.
Once you set foot on Maui, everything else will be taken care of for you.
Your airport shuttle, lodging in a private oceanfront home with a pool, excursions, and some of your meals will be taken care of.
Since the Maui food scene has so much to offer, you’ll still be able to plan some of your meals because deciding what you want to eat is half the fun on a vacation.
Everything is already planned and arranged for you, so you’ll get to enjoy more relaxing on your vacation.
And the best part?
You won’t be traveling alone.
You’ll be with a group of 12-14 other ladies, who love to travel and who love Jesus.
If you’ve been praying about exploring the world and for more community, Fun & Holy Retreats are for you my friend.
And through guided group prayer & discussion workshops, you’ll be able to sit with God and reflect by the ocean.
Fun & Holy Retreats will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience with memories you'll never forget.
