Our holiday-to-do-lists can seem never ending.

Maybe you're stressed about hosting family in town for Christmas.

Or maybe you're wondering how you'll ever get all the holiday traditions done with your family while still having time to sit with Jesus.

Whatever worries or thoughts are keeping you up at night, remember that Jesus is the Prince of Peace.

Shift your focus to Jesus, and let his peace wash over you.

Pray and ask Jesus what really matters this holiday season, and ask him to help you prioritize your holiday-to-do-list.

Maybe you'll realize that you don't have to do all the holiday traditions.

Or maybe you'll feel more content sitting with your friends and family over dinner, knowing that quality time together is enough.

No matter what family drama or trials you are facing this holiday season, let the peace of Jesus wash over you, knowing that Jesus is in control.

Faith is like the currency of heaven. It's through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved, and it's through faith that we continue to believe that God is in control.

Christmas is a time of joy, remembrance, and time with loved ones. But what do you do when your prayers remain unanswered?

What if you're heading into another holiday season, praying and asking God to move in the same area as last year?

Whether it's the salvation of a loved one, healing, or maybe you're praying for a husband to spend Christmas with.

Let this bookmark and scripture be a reminder that God is moved by our faith.

Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean that it's not going to. Or that God doesn't hear your prayers.

Continue to pray and believe.

And continue to walk by faith, knowing that God is bigger than your unanswered prayer.

At Christmas, we often think of Jesus as the light of this world.

He was the light who came into this world to defeat the darkness and power of the enemy. 

But as a follower of Christ, Jesus also calls each one of us to be the light of this world.

Part of being a Christian is carrying on this responsibility to bring light into a dark world, and to represent the light of Jesus wherever you go.

This Christmas, pray and ask God where you can shine your light and the love of Jesus.

Maybe it's your workplace, your school, or your community with your neighbors.

Or maybe you've been called to shine light in your family among loved ones who don't know Jesus yet.

Your friends and family may be more open to experiencing the love of Jesus at Christmastime, so don't be afraid to shine your light (and the truth) of Jesus Christ.

Here are some tips to share your faith this Christmas to invite others to experience the love of Jesus.

God, I thank you for sending Jesus to be the light in this dark world. Thank you for showing me how to shine my light to those who need to experience Christ this holiday season. I pray that when others see me, they will feel the love of Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Christmas Devotion

Christmas is all about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, but you and your family may have your own traditions to celebrate.

Maybe you cook a Christmas feast and open presents together on Christmas Eve.

Or maybe you go to church together, and then watch all your Christmas movie favorites.

With your friends, maybe you go ice-skating, shopping, and check out some festive Christmas-light displays.

In a season that is full of cheer, decorations, and shopping, it can be easy to forget what the birth of Jesus Christ is all about.

But if I could sum up what Jesus' birth means to me in one word?

Love.

God loved us so much, that he sent his only son into this world to eventually die on a cross for our sins.

This Christmas, remember that it's all about love.

Jesus loved you so much that he gave up his life for yours, and he calls us to love others in return.

As you celebrate the season with your loved ones, don't forget to show others the love of Christ.

Some people around you may not know the love of Jesus yet, but I pray this Christmas is the year they experience the true meaning of Christmas through your love.

God, thank you for loving me so much that you brought Jesus into this world to die on a cross for my sins. Show me how to spread the love of Jesus this Christmas, and show me how to love others even when it's difficult. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Christmas Devotion

Christmas is a holiday full of peace, love, and joy. 

But what if you don't feel very joyful among the holiday hustle and bustle?

It's easy to get caught up in the holiday to-do list and feel stress instead of joy.

Instead of focusing on everything you have to get done in this season, or everything that isn't going how you planned, remember that joy comes from within.

Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, and joy is not based on our circumstances.

Rather, we can have joy despite our circumstances.

The more you focus on Jesus this Christmas and all God has blessed you with around you, the more joy you'll cultivate this holiday season.
